Narcissus & Echo

The man in this image is Narcissus. In the myth, it states "While he is drinking he beholds himself reflected in the mirrored pool-and loved; loves an imagined body which contains no substance, for he deems the mirrored shade a thing of life to love." Therefor, I can infer that the man in the image staring at himself in the water is Narcissus, because in the picture he is staring at his glourious body instead of the beautiful women half naked beside him.
